Well, once again, Value Village has come through for me. I went by there on my lunch break at school and I came across yet another cheap old-school computer. This time for only ! This is a Packard Bell 884 from circa 1998. It has a 4GB hard drive, 128MB RAM (I replaced it with 64MB and put the 128MB in my HP Pavilion) and Windows 98 First Edition (replaced it with Windows 95 after video was shot). Keep in mind that by 1998, Packard Bell was not making computers like they were in the mid '90s, when my original Packard Bell and my current Packard Bell Legend 1510 Supreme were made. By the Windows 98 era, Packard Bell had minimized into more of a standard, low-key computer company. The company pulled out of the United States market in 2000 and hasn't returned since. This computer I bought today is a perfect example of a Windows 98 era Packard Bell.
